Gadgeteer - Accelerometer Module

This accelerometer board will allow your .NET Gadgeteer project to measure the force of acceleration.
That's actually a pretty neat trick, since it can be used to detect static forces, like the constant force of gravity, or dynamic forces caused by moving or vibrating the device.

Microsoft .NET Gadgeteer is an open-source toolkit for building small electronic devices using the .NET Micro Framework and Visual Studio/Visual C# Express.
This module is designed to quickly and easily integrate into any .NET Gadgeteer project.
