How to collect Carrot seeds

You can either plant carrots, and wait 2 years before they produce flowers with seed, or you can purchase existing carrots from the grocery store and replant the top part so it grows roots.

Carrots are biennials, meaning they only flower every second year.

Once the seed heads are thoroughly dry and the seeds have darkened, shake the container vigorously to release the seeds.
